Capital City & Rain Forest Tour

Day 01: Arrival
Welcome at Dhaka International Airport and transfer to designated hotel. If time permits half day city sightseeing tour will be offered or free time at your own.
Day 02: Dhaka City Tour
After breakfast full day sightseeing to cover the old part of the city bearing the heritage of Mughal Era (1608) which has a charm of its own. Ornamented mosques, covered markets, bustling streets overflows with rickshaws and vendors are the charm of the old city which is popularly known as the city of mosque and rickshaw. Visit the attractive Sadarghat water front crowded with different type of boats and crafts. Every day hundreds & thousands of passengers are transported by motor launches to and from this river port. You can find here the heritage paddle wheel Rocket Steamer built during British colonial period still in service and playing very important role for safe transport. Visit the wonderful historical Ahsan Manzil (Thursday & first half of Friday closed) – the palace of Muslim Nawab known as ‘Pink Palace’, Walk through the Shakhari Bazaar Hindu streets and experience with the special flavor of typical Hindu culture through this narrow historical passage and old building. You may find people are working with Shell to make Bracelet and ornaments which are being used by Hindu community. We will also visit Central Shahid Minar – the symbol of sacrifice for mother language, historical Curzon Hall of Dhaka University, National Museum (Thursday & first half of Friday closed) with rich and rare collections, Dhakeswari Temple and the most ornamented Star Mosque. Transfer to Hotel for night stay.
Day 03: Dhaka –Srimangal
After breakfast drive to Srimangal (283 KM). On the way, visit Sonargaon, the old capital of Golden Bengal where the world famous and finest “Muslin” was produced. Visit to ruins of Panam city and Folk-art Museum (Wednesday & Thursday closed) in a panoramic garden complex. Then drive continues to Srimangal. Have lunch at a highway restaurant. The road journey through the Asian highway will be memorable & attractive with wonderful natural view of countryside, village markets and rivers. Upon arrival at Srimangal, transfer to designated hotel. Dinner and stay overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Srimangal
Morning visit the panoramic Madhobpur Lake surrounded by terraced Tea gardens, Rubber garden, Tea plantation (if it is in operation) and Monipuri tribal villages & their lifestyle. Evening enjoy the 7 color tea, a secret tea recipe. Stay overnight at Srimangal.
Day 05: Srimongal –Dhaka
Early Morning explore the Lawachara rain forest, a reserved forest for conservation of wildlife. In this beautiful rain forest you can walk through the majestic standing trees which are unexploited for centuries. One can easily find out wild animals like –Caped Langurs, Slow Loris, Yellow Throated Martin, Hillock Gibbons, Asian Black bear, Rock Python and many beautiful birds like –Oriole, Barbet, Hornbill, Hilly Moyna, etc. Hillock gibbon is one seriously endangered higher primate that lives in this forest. Enthusiastic Travelers have got the opportunity to undertake long walk through the forest’s trail for few kilometers leading to a Khasia Punjee at the outskirts of the forest. Visit the Khasia tribes and take a deep look at their lifestyle by exploring interior tribal village inside the forest. Start driving to Dhaka at afternoon. Reach Dhaka and transfer to hotel for stay overnight.
Day 06: National Pride and the Brass Village Tour
Morning drive to National memorial, which was built, to commemorate the martyrs of war of independence 1971. The natural setup of the surroundings of the site and the architectural design of the monument has got extra ordinary attraction. You will amaze to observe some of the fascinating tree plantations are where every head of states like President or Prime of the respective country visited the monument had planted a sapling as a part of the protocol. Have lunch at wayside restaurant. After lunch drive to Dhamrai to show you the famous brass artisans at work. This artistic brass works have been inherited by this particular section of people since the historical paladynasty or 7th century AD. Here you can visit interesting ‘Hindu Rath’ which is like the Roman Chariot. Return back to Dhaka and visit the most distinctive National Parliament Complex (outside view) with the architectural plan of World famous architect Luis I Kahn of USA. If time permits, you can go for shopping at AARONG (famous handy-craft shop) to collect some souvenirs for your friends & family.
Day 07: Departure
Free till transfer to airport for onward destination.
