Beautiful North & Sundarban Tour

8 Days 7 Nights

Day 01:  Arrival

Arrive Dhaka airport and be received by our representative and transfer to designated hotel. Freshen up and (if time permits) we will provide a half day city tour. Stay overnight at hotel.


Day 02: Dhaka City Tour

After breakfast go for city tour: visit Armenian Church, walk through the Shakhari Bazaar Hindu streets and experience with the special flavor of typical Hindu culture through this narrow historical passage and old building, you may find people working with shell to make ornaments. Visit the wonderful historical Ahsan Manzil known as “Pink Palace”. Then we will visit Dhakeswari Hindu Temple of 12th century, Shahid Minar –the symbol of sacrifice for mother language, historical Curzon Hall of Dhaka University, Lalbagh Fort of 16th century and National Museum. Stay overnight in Dhaka.


Day 03: Dhaka –Bogra (210 km, 5 hrs drive approx.) via Tangail

Early morning start for Bogra. A short stoppage will be given in the area of Kalihati, Tangail to visit the tranquil village populated by aboriginal Orau and Munda community who are still maintaining their living pattern with their cultural heritage. En route, we will visit Atia mosque, built in 1609. The Mosque is known for its majesty and beautiful architectural style. Then drives continue to Bogra through the 11th world’s longest Jamuna Bridge. Reach Bogra, check into hotel and overnight.


Day 04: Bogra –Paharpur (55 km, 1.5 hrs drive) –Dinajpur (135 km, 3.5 hrs drive approx.)

After breakfast visit the archeological sites of Mahastangarh and the Citadel. There are several mounds like Govinda vita temple and the holy serene of Muslin saint Mahishwer, Khudie Patar vita, Mankalir Kundur, Porshuram’s vedi, Jiyat Kundu, the rich archeological museum and the Gokul Medh (2 km far from the Citadel) will be very much entertaining . Then drive to Paharpur and visit the impressive monasteries and the spectacular Buddhist monuments. Paharpur Vihara is the treasured heritage of the world which has got the huge monastery with 177 monastic cells including with courtyard. A site museum houses with the rich collections of recovered objects, black stone sculptures, images of gods & goddess of Hindu epics. After lunch drive to Dinajpur and stay overnight.


Day 05: Dinajpur –Rajshahi (210 km, 4.5 hrs drive approx.)

After breakfast visit to the Krishna Temple at Dinajpur Maharajas Palace and then drive to Kantanagar 20 km north to visit the most famous Kantajee Hindu Temple.  This spectacular and fabulous terracotta embellishment reflecting the Ramayana & Mohabarata epics has a rare example of its kind in the whole of the subcontinent. After lunch, drive to Rajshahi and overnight stay.


Day 06: Rajshahi –Gaud –Rajshahi (90 km, 2.5 hrs drive each way)

Morning after having breakfast drives to Gaud. Visit Chhota Sona Mosque, Darasbari Mosque, Rajbibi Tahakhana and the mausoleum of Saint Shah Niamatullah (Rah). Back to Rajshahi and visit Varendra Museum. This is one of the richest museums in the Sub-continent for Black Stone statues. Overnight in Rajshahi.


Day 07: Rajshahi –Puthia –Khulna (290 km, 7hrs drive approx.)

After breakfast, drive 1 hour to Puthia, known as temple city. Temple complex consists of a cluster of notable old Hindu temples. The temples were built by Hindu Landlords & Kings of the Puthia Royal family. The temples have been built in terracotta in a variety of styles combining the typical Jor-Bangla architecture with other influences. The King Palace and the exquisite & unique Dol Mancha are parts of the complex. Then start drive to Dhaka. In the evening reach Dhaka and transfer to designated hotel for overnight stay.


Day 08: Khulna –Sundarban

Early morning board the reserved ship and cruise through the rivers Mirgamari, Harintana, Shella, etc. The cruise will start at 6-7 am depending on the tides. During this long journey, you will be passing through the various forest islands and of course you can expect to click with your zoom camera to various wildlife including deer, rhesus monkeys, colorful birds especially the great white herons, bald eagles and white or giant crocodiles sunning themselves on the shore. You may also find the Gangetic dolphins playing in the river water dive. If time permits, explore the island during the hike. Overnight on board.


Day 09: Sundarban

Early morning enjoy a boat ride through small streams and canals. Explore Jamtala Island, famous for the Royal Bengal Tiger and various wild animals and birds. Take a walk to the beach Badamtala. This will be a great experience to follow the Tigers on the track. You will return to the boat and sail for Kachikhali Island, which is very famous for habitat and especially the Tiger domain. An adventurous afternoon walk in the forest stands in the program and as well as in the wide grass lands, where one can easily observe the great herds of deer and wild boar. Overnight on board.


Day 10: Sundarban –Khulna

Early morning enjoy a boat ride through small streams and canals of Kachikhali Khal to watch colorful birds. You will return to the boat and sail for return towards Khulna in a different way, evergreen forested islands that are not the same, as long as you visited. Upon arrival in Khulna disembark the boat and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.


Day 11: Khulna –Bagerhat –Dhaka (190 km, 8 hrs drive including ferry transfer)

After breakfast, start drives for Dhaka via Bagerhat. On the way, we stop in Bagerhat and visit sixty domed mosque, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The other side of the road is another small mosque, in the traditional brick style. A few miles down the street, is a holy shrine of Saint Khan Jahan Ali (Rah). Then drive continues to Dhaka. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and overnight stay Dhaka.


Day 12: Departure 

After breakfast free at your own and transfer to airport for onward destination.
